We are a seasonal business. We are open seven days a week. You will work 5 days a week. You must be prepared to work every weekend and holiday (but no evenings). You may not take time off during holiday periods, or throughout the summer as these are our busiest times.

KENNEL TECH
You must also:
- Support the kennel’s mission: Provide a quiet, safe, clean, healthy, organized environment where a great experience is provided to the dogs!
- Have a positive attitude and strong work ethic
- Have reliable transportation and be on-time (8:00 am)
- Work well in a team environment
- Have excellent communication skills
- Be able to make sound decisions as well as multi-task
- Be able to take direction and work well unsupervised
- Treat all dogs with care and respect
- Properly handle dogs, to ensure their safety and the handler’s safety
- Able to administer medication to dogs
- Complete general cleaning duties when assigned, including but not limited to
properly disposing and cleaning of dog waste as instructed - You must be able to lift 40+ lbs, stand, stoop, bend, carry, etc., for periods of
time. This is a very physical position. - Supervise, control and manage the play yard.
- Maintenance and cleaning of yards as well as other assigned areas of the facility
- Monitor dogs’ play, recognize changes in a dogs’ behavior or health
- Be comfortable handling dogs of all sizes and breeds
- Communicate any health and/or behavior issues to the Kennel Manager to
ensure proper handling and resolution. - Establish and maintain a solid line of communication between yards and kennel.
FRONT-OFFICE & RECEPTIONIST / KENNEL TECH
Qualifications:
- You must maintain the kennel’s mission: Provide a quiet, safe, clean, healthy, organized environment where a great experience is provided to the dogs!
- You must be organized and efficient with time and resources
- You must be on time and reliable (we start at 8:00 a.m.)
- You must have reliable transportation. We are in the mountains and not accessible by public transportation.
- We are a seasonal business. We are open seven days a week. You will work 5 days a week. You must be prepared to work every weekend and holiday (but no evenings). You may not take time off during holiday periods, or throughout the summer as we are so busy.
- This is a very physical position. You must be able to lift 40+ lbs, stand, stoop, bend, carry, etc., for periods of time.
- Prior kennel experience is a plus. You should be comfortable handling different temperaments of dogs of all sizes and be able to control dogs in a play yard
- Prior office experience is a plus, including cash handling and processing credit card payments
- Computer skills—specifically Microsoft Office and Kennel Connection –are a plus
- Spanish is a plus
